Sean McVay Makes His Opinion of Rams’ Offense Crystal Clear After Week 10 Loss

One would have to go all the way back to Week 6 of the 2023 NFL regular season to check out the last time the Los Angeles Rams failed to score a touchdown in a game prior to Monday night’s 23-15 LA loss at the hands of the Miami Dolphins.

Despite having both starters Steve Avila and Jonah Jackson back, the Rams’ offensive line had a subpar performance against the Fins, which showed in the way quarterback Matthew Stafford went about with his work under center. Stafford threw for 293 yards with zero touchdowns. He was intercepted once and sacked four times for a loss of 36 yards. Overall, Stafford was 32-of-46 with his throws and finished with just a 77.5 passer rating.

Understandably, Rams head coach Sean McVay was not impressed with how LA’s offense is doing so far in the 2024 NFL season. “Inconsistent,” McVay said about Los Angeles’ offense following the loss to the Dolphins, per Sarah Barshop of ESPN.

Even the Rams’ ground attack struggled to generate meaningful activity, as Los Angeles produced just 70 rushing yards on 18 carries. The Rams also went 3-of-12 on third downs and 0-of-3 inside the red zone. Los Angeles simply was hard to watch on that side of the field in Week 10.

Nevertheless, it is not too late for the Rams to address their offensive woes. The Rams dropped to 4-5 after getting crushed by Miami. Their next game will be against the New England Patriots on Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
