Celtics Announce Exciting News Before Game 1 Against Magic

The Boston Celtics enter the 2025 NBA Playoffs hoping to repeat the same success they had in last year’s playoffs. To do that, they will need their team to be fully healthy throughout their upcoming postseason run.

That’s not a guarantee, and not just because anything can happen. Jaylen Brown has been struggling with knee issues in recent weeks, and Kristaps Porzingis couldn’t even play in an entire playoff series last year, as he suffered injuries in both playoff rounds.

The Celtics are about to start their next playoff run on Sunday against the Orlando Magic, and many are keeping their eyes peeled on their injury report.

Ahead of their first game, the Celtics had some exciting news on the injury front. The Celtics revealed that their injury report is completely clean for Game 1 against the Magic, per team reporter Taylor Snow.

This indicates that Brown and Porzingis are fully ready to go and should not have any setbacks heading into the postseason to start.

However, this could change over time. Brown may try to fight through his injuries, but there’s no telling if they will get worse. The Celtics entered the 2024 NBA Playoffs with a clean bill of health, only for Porzingis to suffer a calf injury in Game 4 of the first round against the Miami Heat.

The Celtics impressively managed without Porzingis, who didn’t return until Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks. The Celtics could try to work through the same if Brown also gets hurt, but they are better off with him on the court than without him.
