What Nottingham Forest fans sang to Ange Postecoglou after Europa League result and his response to the chants amidst board backing

It’s not just Celtic who suffered in the Europa League, as Ange Postecoglou is finding out at Nottingham Forest.

The Australian took his new club into the competition as former Celtic boss Postecoglou’s Europa League journey took another twist with a 3-2 home defeat to FC Midtjylland.

Forest fought back from 1-0 down after going behind early to the Danish side that caused Postecoglou problems at Celtic.

And now at Forest, it seems Midtjylland have caused the Premier League club’s fans to turn on Ange after his team went down 3-2 at the City Ground.

Another game and another defeat for Postecoglou as he tried to follow up his excellent away point at Real Betis last week.

However, as Midtjylland’s third goal sailed in, the Forest fans appear to have had enough of the ex-Celtic gaffer who has only been in the job six weeks.

Chants of ‘getting sacked in morning’ seem extremely harsh as Postecoglou looks to win over another set of entitled English football supporters since leaving Celtic.

What ex-Celtic boss Postecoglou said about Nottingham Forest fan chant

Mostly when managers are subjected to this kind of abuse, they tend to cloud over or ignore any questions about them.

Not Postecoglou. He met them head on as he told TNT Sports, “Yeah, I heard it. They are fans. They want to see their team win and they are entitled to their opinion.

“Nothing surprises me in football anymore.”

Typical Ange. Never shirks away from the tough question and hopefully he can get his team winning sooner rather than later.
