Jean-Philippe Mateta is set to join the exodus from Crystal Palace after informing the club of his desire to leave Selhurst Park, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The France international has a contract with Palace until the end of next season but is eager to further his career elsewhere. Eagles captain Marc Guehi joined Manchester City earlier this week and boss Oliver Glasner has already announced he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
Mateta has blossomed since joining Palace on an initial loan deal from Mainz in January 2021 before the move was made permanent 12 months later for a fee in the region of £9million.

In the 2023/24 season, he scored 19 goals in 39 appearances and followed that up with another 17 in 47 games last season as Palace won the FA Cup and secured a place in the Conference League.

The 28-year-old has started every one of Palace’s 22 Premier League games this year, scoring eight times.
His record has drawn attention from several clubs at home and abroad.
Juventus enquired about his availability last week, according to The Athletic, but were put off by Palace’s £35m asking price.
