The midfielder was dismissed in the final minute of Saturday’s 3-1 defeat after shoving Raul Jimenez as he went through on goal.
Not only did referee Chris Kavanagh show Laurent his marching orders, but he also awarded Fulham a penalty which Jimenez himself dispatched.
Now banned for one game, Laurent will miss Burnley’s next encounter, the home clash against Brighton on Sunday, April 19.

The Premier League fixture comes off the back of Burnley’s three-week break, a result of the upcoming March international window and the FA Cup quarter-finals.
It means Laurent won’t be eligible to return for Scott Parker’s side until they make the trip to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, April 19 – a game recently moved after Vitor Pereira’s side clinched their place in the quarter finals of the Europa League.

Parker believed that Laurent’s red card and the penalty awarding were perhaps unjust.
“I’ve not looked it back in real time,” the Clarets boss said. “But I thought it looked soft, the penalty. I honestly thought it looked soft.
“But again, I don’t want to sit here and go strong on that because I’ve not seen it back, and if it is a penalty and he sees that as a denying opportunity of them scoring by the law, it’s obviously a penalty. But I thought it was soft.”
