The Philadelphia 76ers have signed a lucrative jersey patch deal with Bloom Energy worth more than $10 million annually. This multi-year partnership follows an active summer that saw the franchise add LeBron James and Jaylen Brown to its star-studded lineup.

The Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly found a new jersey patch sponsor following their busy offseason.

According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Bloom Energy will be the new multi-year jersey patch sponsor for the 76ers on a deal worth more than $10 million annually, making it one of the most lucrative deals in the NBA.

What is Bloom Energy?

Bloom Energy is a power provider, who have a manufacturing hub in Delaware, near the 76ers G League affiliate’s location. As part of the deal, Bloom Energy has pledged to partner with the Sixers on community projects.

Bloom Energy produce and install solid oxide fuel cell systems that generate electricity continuously without burning fuel like natural gas, biogas, or hydrogen. Their systems result in virtually zero local air pollutants and use very little water.

Bloom provides power for hospitals, retailers, college campuses, data centers, manufacturers and other industries in the US.

With an NBA championship as their ultimate goal, it will now be up to Maxey and his fellow 76ers stars to embrace the sacrifices and adjustments necessary to give themselves a stronger chance to win it all.
