Mohammed Kudus is undoubtedly one of West Ham United’s best two players, alongside Jarrod Bowen.
So with that in mind, the latest news regarding the Hammers ace is hugely concerning to say the least.
West Ham signed Mohammed Kudus from Ajax in the summer of 2023, in a deal believed to be worth around £38 million.
The 23-year-old was absolutely sensational for the Hammers last season, and he took to the Premier League like a duck to water.
Kudus stood out from the rest with his incredibly tight ball control, explosive pace and impressive strength.
New Hammers head coach Julen Lopetegui would do well to build his team around the Ghana international.
However, that may well be taken out of the Spaniard’s hands.
The latest news about Kudus is extremely worrying…
West Ham dealt Mohammed Kudus hammer blow
Hammers fans beware, some bad news has emerged about our Ghanaian star overnight.
Lopetegui’s chances of enjoying a successful spell in charge of West Ham will depend heavily on getting the best out of Kudus.
The former Ajax star has already greatly endeared himself to the London Stadium faithful with some terrific performances.
I think he’ll continue to get better under the guidance of Lopetegui and his coaching staff. However, it seems as though there could be a problem for West Ham.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Kudus has been offered a whopping £11 million per year salary by Saudi clubs Al Nassr and Al-Ittihad.
Now, whilst the money thrown at Kudus from the Saudi Pro League is a clear and obvious problem for the Hammers, we have to hope that the Ghanaian wants to achieve his goals playing at the very highest level of the game.
The 23-year-old strikes me as a hugely ambitious player – someone who’s not overly motivated by money.
He’s a hard-working, well-grounded human being, and his personality was forged through humble beginnings in his homeland.
My greatest worry is that Mohammed Kudus will rip it up again for West Ham this season and attract the attention of some of the giants of the game.
Arsenal have already been linked with a move to sign Kudus from the Hammers, whilst the same can be said for Manchester United (The Mirror) and Chelsea (Daily Mail).
I can’t see the former Ajax man moving to Saudi Arabia, not for the time being at least. However, the immense wealth the clubs have over there will still be a concern for the Hammers regarding Kudus’s future at the London Stadium.
After all, money talks, as the saying goes…
