The Knicks have finally made another (and final, for now) move. But it’s not the move that fans might’ve been hoping for.
For over a month, the Knicks have been looking for another big man to help round out their roster and fans have, in the meantime, been busy concocting an impressive amount of hypothetical trades. But they’ll likely have plenty of time to continue to do so as the move that was announced earlier today was the signing of Jacob Toppin to their final two-way contract available.

Toppin, the brother of former Knicks forward and Slam Dunk Contest Champion Obi, appeared in nine games last season and averaged 1.4 PPG, and 0.8 RPG on 55.6% shooting. In the G League, the 24 year-old forward averaged 19.8 PPG and 8.5 RPG on 48.8% shooting for the Westchester Knicks.
It’s official over for the Knicks when it comes to completing transactions this summer. Time to wait, reflect, relax, and get ready for late-summer/early-fall training camp and the preseason when coach Thibs and his staff will need to shape the final NBA roster and rotations that will try to bring the chip back home next season.
