Baltimore Ravens sign former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver

The Baltimore Ravens have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Anthony Miller to their practice squad after inking him to a deal on August 11. Miller did not make the team’s active roster and was cut as part of the cut down to 53 players, but he did enough to earn a spot as a veteran on the practice squad.

Miller was with the Steelers from 2021 to 2022, but was released after offseason training activities in the spring of 2023. He suffered a hamstring injury that kept him out for much of those events, but spent time in 2023 bouncing around other practice squads.

In 2023, Miller signed with the San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts, and Kansas City Chiefs all to find a new home. He did not last all season at either spot, and only found a new home once the Ravens signed him in August.

The Chicago Bears second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Memphis, Miller spent three years in the Windy City before leaving for the Houston Texans in 2021. While Miller had considerable hype coming out of Memphis, he has never been able to live up to the lofty expectations, racking up 1589 receiving yards over his six-year NFL career to this point.

The Memphis native, now 29 years old, has not played in an NFL regular season game since 2021 for the Steelers. He hopes to get back on the field in 2024 for the Ravens.
