Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen has opened up about the Old Gold’s Premier League draw against Nottingham Forest.
Gary O’Neil’s side secured their first point of the 2024/25 campaign in the Premier League by walking away with a draw at the City Ground.
A first-half goal from Jean-Ricner Bellegarde cancelled out Chris Wood’s early opener, seeing the points shared after a dramatic 90 minutes against Nuno Santo’s side.
O’Neil will have plenty of positives to take from the result however, has been alerted to one negative by summer signing Jorgen Strand Larsen.

Wolves welcomed Strand Larsen on an initial loan spell from Celta Vigo this summer, signing the striker to bolster the front line.
Now that O’Neil has his target man, it’s on those around the Norqeigan to get the best out of his ability, something that was missing against Forest by the forward’s own admission.
Speaking to journalist Liam Keen in an interview with Express and Star, Strand Larsen admitted he felt ‘alone’ at times at the City Ground.
“I was feeling a little bit alone sometimes,” the 24-year-old explained.
“We played against two big centre-backs, where we are pushed low into the pitch, and then we need some guys to hold up the ball.
“We were a bit off on that one, but I think that takes time to get to know the defenders, to get to know the league a little bit, and then we’ll keep going.”
Forest’s towering back two of Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic weathered the storm of Wolves’ threat efficiently, keeping out Strand Larsen and keeping the visitors at bay in the second half.

When watching Strand Larsen, at times it’s easy to forget that the 24-year-old only arrived in the English top flight this summer.
The £15k-a-week Norweigan has a long way to go until he can be fully relied upon by O’Neil’s side however, the early signs prove his suitability to play the English game.
Having only recorded three Premier League appearances so far, the striker’s profile certainly fits what’s required to make the cut in the top flight, providing Wolves with the target man that they so desperately needed last season.
It will be fascinating to see how the rest of the campaign pans out for Strand Larsen, who will be hoping to make more of an impact in the Old Gold’s next challenge against Newcastle United.
