The Cherries produced a dominant second half performance to come from two goals down to take a point at home against West Ham.
A hugely frustrating first half for the Cherries saw them trail by two at the break after Callum Wilson netted a brace against his former club.
But they came roaring back in the second half and drew themselves back onto level terms.
Marcus Tavernier blasted home from the penalty spot with a little over 20 minutes to play, before Unal scored with nine minutes left, moments after he came off the bench.
Bournemouth continued to press for a winner but a heroic performance from Hammers keeper Alphonse Areola meant they weren’t able to score a third and the points were shared.
Andoni Iraola made four changes from the side which lost at Aston Villa.
Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo dropped out through injury, replaced by David Brooks and Junior Kroupi, while Lewis Cook and Bafode Diakite started at right back and centre back respectively.
Adam Smith and Veljko Milosavljevic both dropped to the bench.
Wilson returned to Dean Court as he started for the Hammers.
The Cherries were on the front foot early on, in heavy rain and windy conditions.
A dangerous Alex Scott free kick dropped in the six yard box in the opening minutes, before Evanilson drew a save out of Areola at his near post as the Brazilian turned a Scott cross towards goal.
But despite having much of the early running, Bournemouth fell behind with 11 minutes on the clock – and it was former Cherry Wilson who scored in his first game back at Dean Court after departing the club in 2020.
A long ball up from the back dropped over Marcos Senesi’s head and was brought down by the striker, and Djordje Petrovic wasn’t able to keep his shot from outside the box out.
The Cherries sought a response and saw plenty of the ball in the West Ham final third, but without threatening Areola.
A delicate Brooks ball over the top of the defence saw Kroupi fire over from a tight angle after 21 minutes.
The pair combined again as the Welshman crossed for his French teammate, but Kroupi’s header was comfortably caught by Areola.
Moments later, Brooks pulled a shot wide when well placed in the centre of the box, before he and Jean-Clair Todibo were booked for a confrontation after frustration boiled over for the Welshman after he wasn’t awarded a free kick.
The Hammers then doubled their advantage ten minutes before the break, and it was Wilson again.
A free kick was pumped into the Cherries box, Jarrod Bowen headed it goalwards and it was turned on by Todibo to Wilson, who brought the ball down, pivoted and shot into the top corner.
Scott drew a save out of Areola in first half stoppage time as he drilled one at the stopper’s near post, as the Cherries trailed by two at the break.
Iraola made two changes at the break as Alex Jimenez and Ryan Christie replaced Scott and Diakite, looking for an early breakthrough.
Bowen headed onto the roof of the net after a quick counterattack from the Hammers, as the Cherries saw lots of the ball in the opening exchanges of the second half.
Four corners in four minutes couldn’t breach the Hammers defence as Bournemouth piled on the pressure.
Areola had to be alert to save from a snapshot on the edge of the box, before Evanilson shot over the bar.
Amine Adli replaced Brooks shortly after the hour mark, before the Cherries got a goal back from the penalty spot.
Jimenez went on a superb run from the right and slipped the ball through to Evanilson, but Max Kilman went to ground and handled the ball for a clear spot kick.
Tavernier stepped up and blasted the ball down the middle as the Cherries got a goal back with 21 minutes to play.
They continued to press after the goal and Evanilson glanced a header wide.
Areola made a brilliant save to deny Kroupi after a brilliant, flowing move from the Cherries saw Christie thread Tavernier in, who crossed for the Frenchman but he was denied by the keeper’s legs.
Unal replaced Adams as the game entered the final ten minutes, and the striker scored with his very first touch.
The striker received the ball from Senesi on the edge of the box, he turned his man brilliantly before blasting past Areola.
Adam Smith replaced Kroupi, before Areola pulled off another vital save to deny Adli and the keeper again kept the scores level when he denied Unal moments later.
Cook shot over the bar as the Cherries sought a stoppage time winner, but they weren’t able to produce a third goal and the spoils were shared.
