The Toronto Blue Jays picked up a 3-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers last night while the Los Angeles Dodgers picked up a 15-2 win over the Texas Rangers . Today the two teams made a trade that will see infielder Cavan Biggio heading to the Dodgers in exchange for RHP Braydon Fisher from the Dodgers.

INF – Cavan Biggio
Biggio was placed on waivers the other day due to a rough stretch with Toronto. The Blue Jays drafted Biggio in the fifth round of the 2016 MLB Draft out of Notre Dame. He helped lead the Blue Jays Double-A affiliate the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to an Eastern League title in 2018. The following season he made his big league debut appearing in 100 games hitting .234 with a .793 OPS; he had 17 doubles, two triples, 16 home runs, 48 RBI, 66 runs scored, 14 stolen bases, and 71 walks. This season he had played in 44 games hitting .200 with a .614 OPS; he had four doubles, two home runs, nine RBI, 15 runs scored, two stolen bases, and 14 walks. With Biggio’s time in Toronto coming to an end he had played in 490 games hitting .227 with a .725 OPS; he had 77 doubles, four triples, 48 home runs, 176 RBI, 246 runs scored, 32 stolen bases, and 241 walks.
RHP – Braydon Fisher
Fisher was drafted by the Dodgers in the fourth round of the 2018 Draft out of Clear Falls High School. His first season was in 2018 playing with the Dodgers rookie league making 11 appearances with nine of those coming as starts going 1-2 with a 2.05 ERA, a 1.36 WHIP, and 19 strikeouts in 22 innings. This season he’s appeared in 15 games between Triple-A Oklahoma City and Double-A Tulsa going 2-1 with a 5.68 ERA, a 1.78 WHIP, and 30 strikeouts in 19 innings. In his time with the Dodgers minor league system, he’s appeared in 134 games with 12 of those coming as starts going 18-14 with a 4.53 ERA, a 1.45 WHIP, and 294 strikeouts in 228.2 innings.
