Bruins Provide Injury Update About Important Forward

The Boston Bruins suffered a 3-2 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday (Nov. 16). While the Bruins got a point, it was another underwhelming performance from the Original Six club, and it would have been far worse if goaltender Joonas Korpisalo had not had a strong game.

Bruins forward Mark Kastelic also left the matchup early after suffering a lower-body injury. With Kastelic being an important part of the Bruins’ lineup, seeing him get injured was undoubtedly concerning.

However, it appears that Kastelic’s injury is not too severe. While speaking to reporters following the game, head coach Jim Montgomery said Kastelic is considered day-to-day.

Kastelic has been a nice surprise for the Bruins early on, posting three goals, seven points, and 75 hits in his first 19 games. This was after he had five goals and 10 points in 63 games with the Ottawa Senators last season.
