Visibly frustrated, David Pastrnak added, “A lot of disconnection, and every goal started in the O-zone,” he said. “Lost the puck or unforced mistake, and then we are defending.” Pastrnak emphasized the need for the team to reconnect and find a way to build something positive in the remaining games.

The game began with a shorthanded goal by Leo Carlsson, giving the Ducks an early lead. Anaheim dominated the first period, outshooting Boston 15-5. In the second period, an own goal by Michael Callahan extended the Ducks’ lead to 2-0.

Pastrnak pulled one back for the Bruins with a 5-on-3 power-play goal, but the Ducks quickly responded with goals from Jackson LaCombe and Cutter Gauthier, making it 4-1. In the third period, Carlsson and Mason McTavish sealed the victory for Anaheim. A late goal by Morgan Geekie cut the deficit for Boston, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.
