Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber have been pictured with the Arsenal squad ahead of today’s huge Premier League title clash with Liverpool.
Star man Saka has missed the Gunners’ last two matches with an injury picked up while on international duty with England, as the Gunners lost at Bournemouth and scrapped up Sparta Prague in the Champions League.
Timber, meanwhile, has not featured since early October due to a muscle injury.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Mikel Arteta downplayed the chances of both facing the Reds. He told reporters: “[Saka] has done a bit of training on the grass.
“How far we can get him before Sunday is another question. We have another day which is a good thing, because this week we had an extra day. We will see.
“[Timber] has had the first session he could have some involvement with. He has been out for a while. We expected him to be further back than where he is at the moment, but again we have to wait and see.”
But in an apparent boost for the Gunners, both Saka and Timber were spotted with the squad at their pre-match hotel on Saturday night.
