Cavs looking for right fit to replace head coach

The Cavs are taking their time looking for J.B. Bickerstaff’s replacement as head coach. After firing Bickerstaff because they didn’t feel he could lead them to the next step — being a serious title contender — the Cavs want to get the right person for the job.

As a result the team is casting a wide net to fill the head coach vacancy.

If it seems the Cavs method is like putting a ‘Help Wanted’ sign in the window, consider the coaching search of the L.A. Lakers. L.A. looks like it may hire J.J. Redick. Redick has no coaching experience at any level, but he is a TV sportscaster, does a podcast with LeBron James and is a former player.

I put more trust in the Cavs’ search engine than I do the Lakers hope that J.J. Redick is the second coming of Steve Kerr.
