The Golden State Warriors look like a championship contender again.
This team is rejuvenated, and they’ve even managed to win back-to-back games without Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins on the floor.
Both of those wins came vs. the New Orleans Pelicans, and they both came in the same fashion.
Willie Green’s team came out firing with a hot start, and then the Warriors settled in on defense to secure the win.
Notably, Draymond Green has played a big part in that.
The four-time NBA champion is turning back the clock.
He’s in great shape, and he’s playing elite defense.
That’s why, following the win, he wanted to make sure people gave him his flowers.
Talking to the media, Green made sure that people don’t forget that, just like Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama, he can also guard one through five (via Anthony Slater).
“I spent all summer listening to people talk about Chet and Wemby and what they’re doing defensively. Don’t forget about Dray,” he said.

Green made life tough for Zion Williamson.
The former No. 1 pick shot 5-of-20 from the floor and committed four offensive fouls.
Green pulled out his entire bag of tricks to help his team secure a win, and the Warriors have only lost one game all season.
It’s still early, but the Warriors have been on a roll since the preseason.
They’re deep, in sync, and have a lot of players who could make an impact on both ends of the floor and have a big night, depending on the matchup.
If Green keeps this up and manages to stay on the court, this team could have a legitimate shot at another championship.
