The Phoenix Suns have four players with deadlines of June 29 to decide whether or not to exercise their player options for next season.
None of these four—Eric Gordon, Drew Eubanks, Josh Okogie and Damion Lee—have made any official decision yet.
However, a recent report by The Athletic’s Kelly Iko described where Gordon stands ahead of next Saturday’s deadline.
“Free agent Eric Gordon is “50-50” on a return to Phoenix, according to a source close to the veteran guard, but is also interested in a Rockets reunion.”
According to Spotrac, Gordon will be making $3.356 million if he opts into his option for next season.
Gordon is currently in training camp with Team Bahamas ahead of their Olympic qualifying tournament in Spain on July 2.

In his first regular season in Phoenix, the 35-year-old veteran averaged a career-low 11.0 points on 44/38/80 splits in 68 games. However, he only averaged 8.6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 44 games off the bench after the Suns brought him last summer to be their main scoring option off the bench.
Gordon played seven of his 16 NBA season with the Rockets from 2016-2023 before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers at the trade deadline in the 2022-23 season.
With Houston, he won the 2016-17 Sixth Man of the Year and averaged 15.7 points across 379 regular season games and played in 51 playoff games.
If Gordon were to leave Phoenix, a backup guard role would open behind Devin Booker, Bradley Beal and Grayson Allen.
The Suns have seven players under contract for next season: Booker, Beal, Allen, Kevin Durant, Jusuf Nurkić, Nassir Little and David Roddy.
Phoenix finished 49-33 last season and was swept in the first round by the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Rockets, who have a strong young core of Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun, Jabari Smith Jr. and Amen Thompson, were 11th in the Western Conference this past season with a 41-41 record.
