Francis Ngannou’s gracious ‘paycheck’ gesture brought gym coach to tears

Francis Ngannou went from laboring in sand mines and fighting poverty to becoming one of the world’s most popular MMA fighters. The fighter has made millions by knocking out his opponents and performing for others. However, despite his success and glorious lifestyle, the ‘Predator’ has not forgotten his coaches and teammates.

The Cameroonian has been a part of Xtreme Couture gym since 2018 and has trained under Eric Nicksick so far. Recently, Nicksick joined MMA Fighting, where he talked about Ngannou’s kindness toward a gym trainer named Nate Pettit. The head coach revealed that out of nowhere, Ngannou handed Pettit a cheque, which forced the trainer to cry out of gratitude.

I don’t know what the amount was. I didn’t even ask. But it was enough to move this man to tears, to an emotion. And I say to Francis later on, I was like, ‘Hey, thanks for giving, hooking up Nate.’ He’s like, ‘Of course, bro. I see how hard he works, and I want to pay him for all the time that he’s given to others that maybe is not reciprocated back to him. Eric Nicksick via MMA Fighting

Nicksick revealed that Nate Pettit was the main man behind Francis Ngannou’s brutal knockout against Stipe Miocic . Evidently, Pettit did a lot of work in order to prepare Ngannou for the fight. According to Pettit, the former UFC champion didn’t forget all that help and wanted to support the trainer for his hard work throughout the years.

Aside from being an ultimate killing machine within the octagon, Francis Ngannou is a calm and controlled individual outside. The fighter’s straightforward nature has drawn millions of followers who have accompanied him everywhere. Unfortunately, he had recently lost his 15-month-old son and was devastated. Nevertheless, he aims to fight in the memory of his son.

Francis Ngannou’s coach talks about his brutal power
Francis Ngannou’s renowned power is sometimes rated as the most devastating in UFC history. Ngannou’s historic 2017 knockout victory over Alistair Overeem, which was achieved with a single uppercut, demonstrated his unrivaled power generation accuracy. With his unmatched athleticism and timing, he can end battles quickly, making him a continuous threat.

Ngannou’s striking coach, Dewey Cooper, mentioned in an interview that the power behind his punches cannot be taught. Copper says his history in manual labor and rigorous training has sharpened his inherent strength. This enables the fighter to unleash knockout strikes with explosive force.

That was something that he naturally had. He dig dirt in sand mines as a kid all the way up to his early twenties. Of course, he’s DNA, his Cameroonian heritage and that hard manual labor as a kid. I feel was the main attribute for that ungodly power. Dewey Cooper via The Sun Sports

After trying out his luck in boxing and losing two fights in a row, Francis Ngannou will make his MMA return. The fighter recently announced that he will take on PFL heavyweight superstar Renan Ferreira this October. Fans are excited to see the ‘Predator’ in his natural habitat. As a result, the hype around the hype remains massive.
