Green Bay Packers Announce Public Training Camp Schedule for 2024

The Green Bay Packers are going to be one of the most-followed NFL teams in 2024. With Jordan Love established as their franchise quarterback, fans from all over the league will be watching to see if/when he and his young offense can take the next step and become true Super Bowl contenders.

Having wrapped out their offseason team activities (OTA’s) and mandatory minicamp, the Packers now have about a month until they need to report back to Green Bay for training camp. Every year, training camp is a big deal to fans of every NFL team as they follow how the rosters shake out and which players might be holding out.

In Green Bay, training camp is a time for many fans to come, tailgate, and watch practice. For months, fans wait for the team to release the schedule of practices that are open to the public so that they can plan their summer vacation trips.

Well, the wait is over.

The Green Bay Packers Training Camp Schedule Has Been Released

According to the Packers’ website and social media accounts, there will be 15 practice days open to the public. This does not include the annual Family Night event, which will be on August 3 at 7:30 PM. They will also play three preseason games against the Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, and Baltimore Ravens:

As one can see, the times for the open practices have yet to be determined. The Packers will also be holding joint practices with the Ravens prior to their final preseason game.

It was also announced that Green Bay will travel to Denver for joint practices with the Broncos prior to their preseason game on August 18.

Other Important Dates Related to Green Bay Packers Training Camp

Per the Packers’ website, there are some other dates and events for fans to follow and look forward to leading up and during training camp:

Wednesday, July 17 – Quarterbacks, rookies and injured players report

Friday, July 19 – Packers 1K Kids Run (kids 10 years old and younger), presented by Scheels, 6 p.m.

Saturday, July 20 – Packers 5K Run/Walk, presented by Bellin Health, Lambeau Field, 8 a.m.

Sunday, July 21 – Veteran players report

Monday, July 22 – First practice (10:30 a.m., Ray Nitschke Field) and Packers Annual Meeting of Shareholders (3 p.m., Lambeau Field)

Saturday, Aug. 3 – Family Night, presented by Bellin Health, Lambeau Field

Thursday, Aug. 22 – Last practice open to public (joint practice with Baltimore), time TBD, Ray Nitschke Field

The July 17 date, which is when quarterbacks need to report, will be an especially interesting date to watch. As fans know, Jordan Love and the Packers are currently negotiating a contract extension, one that will probably make him the highest paid player in franchise history.

Both Love and the Packers have said they expect a deal done before training camp.
