Green Bay Packers Get Great Injury News Ahead of Thanksgiving Game vs Dolphins

The Green Bay Packers are 8-3 and looking to keep pace with the Detroit Lions, who defeated the Chicago Bears 23-20 to improve to 11-1, in the NFC North. They will take on the Miami Dolphins at Lambeau Field in about an hour.

Unfortunately, the Packers will be without two starters on defense when they take on Tua Tagovailoa and a dynamic Dolphins offense. Even though they are only 5-6, Miami has won three games in a row and is riding a wave of confidence going into the game.

As many expected, two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander will miss his second consecutive game with a torn PCL. Additionally, rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper will miss his second consecutive game after injuring his hamstring in practice ahead of Green Bay’s Week 12 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Of course, starting wide receiver Romeo Doubs also will not play after suffering a concussion against the aforementioned 49ers just four days ago.

The Green Bay Packers Have Josh Myers and Isaiah McDuffie Active

Going into the Thanksgiving matchup with Miami, the Packers were not sure whether or not they would have two other important players on their roster. Starting center Josh Myers was questionable all week with a pectoral injury, and linebacker Isaiah McDuffie was also questionable with an ankle injury.

Both will play against the Dolphins.

Myers being able to play is obviously huge considering the rapport he has with starting quarterback Jordan Love. He has also been an above average pass protector and run blocker this year, which is the final season of his rookie contract.

McDuffie being available is huge for the Packers because of Cooper’s injury. While linebacker Quay Walker is coming off of his best game of the season, the only other healthy linebackers Green Bay has are rookie Ty’Ron Hopper and Eric Wilson.
