The Golden State Warriors have looked very good this season.
Steve Kerr tweaked his lineup a little bit, and it seems to be paying off.
Trayce Jackson-Davis has excelled in limited minutes as a starter, and Jonathan Kuminga has looked much better with the second unit than starting.
That’s why he’s not too worried about whether he’s coming off the bench or not.
Following the win over the New Orleans Pelicans, Warriors insider Kerith Burke asked him about his new role (via Warriors on NBC Sports).

Kuminga, however, claimed to be unbothered by it, stating that the only thing that matters to him is to be playing.
Also, he did play a season-high 28 minutes despite coming off the bench.
Kuminga is a very talented player, but his whole situation has been a bit of a rollercoaster.
He’s shown glimpses of great play, yet Steve Kerr doesn’t seem to be fully sold on him.
He’s also made some bold remarks about Kerr’s coaching, the organization, and whatnot, and reports often portray him as distant from the rest of the team.
Also, the fact that they didn’t manage to sign him to a contract extension only raised more doubts about his future with the team.
Kuminga has the potential to be a two-way star, and it’s never about who starts games as much about who finishes them.
So far, so good for Kuminga and the Warriors, but if the minutes drop, this will be a situation to keep an eye on as we approach the trade deadline.
