One of the more intriguing moves in the NFL this offseason was when the Green Bay Packers signed All-Pro running back Josh Jacobs to a four-year deal.
This move came before the team decided to let go of 29-year-old fan-favorite Aaron Jones, who later signed with the rival Vikings.
While Jacobs has proven himself to be one of the best running backs in the league over the last few years, he still has yet to catch a touchdown.
If he catches five more passes without a touchdown, he’ll break the record of most career receptions without a touchdown, which is currently owned by former NFL running back Gerald Riggs (201 receptions without a touchdown catch).
Packers franchise quarterback Jordan Love does not want to let that happen.
“No, that’s not going to happen. I’m surprised he doesn’t have any touchdowns yet,” Love said recently via Bleacher Report.

Despite not having any touchdown caches in the early part of his career, Jacobs is an excellent playmaker.
The former national champion has recorded three 1,000-yard seasons in five years and even led the league in rushing in 2022 (1,653) while with Las Vegas.
He has also eclipsed 50 receptions in a season multiple times making it even more shocking that he doesn’t have a touchdown catch.
With the way things are looking in Green Bay now, look for Jacobs to get more than a few looks at the end zone through the air.
Jordan Love finished second in the league in touchdown passes in his first full year as the starter (32), and former starter Aaron Jones caught 18 touchdowns in his seven years in Green Bay.
Even if he breaks the record, Jacobs is going to have plenty of opportunities to show off his receiving skills in Green Bay.
