After spending his entire NFL career with the Las Vegas Raiders following the 2023 NFL season and becoming one of the best running backs in the league, Josh Jacobs decided it was time for a change, as he felt he wasn’t getting valued the way he wanted to be in Sin City.
As a result of Jacobs looking for greener pastures in the NFL, the veteran running back chose to sign with the Green Bay Packers in free agency during the offseason, which was a massive blow for the Raiders and a major addition for the storied franchise that calls Lambeau Field home.
Although it seems that Jacobs has made the right move to be in a better situation to contend for a Super Bowl title, the veteran back has struggled to find the endzone this season with the Packers.
Heading into Week 7 against CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans, Jacobs had scored only one rushing touchdown on the season, which is unusual for the 26-year-old star, who was thought to be a big boost for the offense.
However, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jacobs was able to accomplish something that he’s never done in his professional career on the NFL level on Sunday, as he caught his first touchdown reception.

Ultimately, this receiving touchdown from Jacobs and his 76 rushing yards on 12 carries helped propel the Packers to a win over the Texans, which could be a statement victory that Green Bay is the real deal this season.
As a result of getting the best of the Texans on Sunday, Green Bay has improved its record to 5-2 on the season while being winners of five of its last six games.
