Knicks Fans in Agreement About Karl-Anthony Towns After Jalen Brunson’s Recent Post

The New York Knicks saw their season come to a disappointing end at the hands of the Indiana Pacers. It was their first trip to the Eastern Conference Finals since 2000, when they also fell to the Pacers. Many pegged the Knicks as the favorites to win the Eastern Conference after impressively knocking off the defending champion Boston Celtics.

However, head coach Tom Thibodeau’s style of play seemed to catch up with them down the stretch against the Pacers. The Pacers were able to exploit New York’s lack of depth in a way the Celtics didn’t. Heading into the offseason, the Knicks face uncertainty.

Knicks fans in agreement about Karl-Anthony Towns after Jalen Brunson post

Just days after the Knicks were eliminated from the NBA Playoffs, the team made a shocking choice when they announced that they were firing Thibodeau after five seasons. The move has caused speculation that it might just be the first sizable move in what could be a busy offseason.

The Knicks shocked many when they traded for Karl-Anthony Towns just weeks before the start of the regular season. However, after falling short of the NBA Finals, some believe Towns could be on his way out, and a recent Instagram story from Jalen Brunson is further perpetuating those rumors and fans seem to agree.

While it’s easy to look at Brunson’s post with the handshake emoji as them parting ways after working together, it could mean the exact opposite, and that the two are preparing to make another run at the championship next season.

The Knicks gave up a lot to get Towns, so it’s tough to imagine they would want to move on from him so soon. If the Knicks can add a bit of depth with a different man at the helm calling the shots, their lineup can go toe-to-toe with the best in the league.
