The Hawks have been shopping Clint Capela. The Bulls, Pelicans, Grizzlies, and Wizards had reported interest in a trade for the veteran center, and we can add another club to that list — the Knicks.
According to Ian Begley, New York checked in with Atlanta on a potential trade for Capela.
“Clint Capela, Atlanta, was one big that the Knicks checked in on,” Begley said. “I don’t know how far talks went. I don’t know if they’re active at this very moment. But they did check in on Capela.”

Begley also added that Mitchell Robinson would likely be involved in a package for Capela. New York watched Isaiah Hartenstein leave in free agency, signing with the Thunder.
Mitchell Robinson likely didn’t interest the Hawks, and after sending the Nets five first-round picks, the Knicks don’t have much else to offer. The Hawks should obviously listen to any and all trade offers, but moving Clint Capela for a similar caliber of player in Robinson doesn’t accomplish much.
