The New York Knicks made one of, if not the biggest move of the offseason whenever they traded five first-round picks to the Brooklyn Nets for Mikal Bridges.
The star wing was the first guest appearance at the “Roommates Show Block Party,” which was a live showing of the very popular podcast hosted by his new Knicks teammates, Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart. At the event, Bridges said that Knicks fans should be thanking the Nets for making him better.
“Y’all should appreciate Brooklyn because it made me better,” Bridges said, adding later, “F-, my game grew there.”
Bridges had been with the Nets for the last season-and-a-half, and he was able to take his game to the next level.
His role with the Phoenix Suns was to be a guy that worked off the ball and excelled at shooting off the catch. With the Nets, he was the guy, and he averaged just over 21 points per game, as he did it effectively.
Playing with the Nets gave Bridges a new dimension to his game, and he will be looking to use his versatility to help the Knicks contend with the likes of the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference this season.
