The Cleveland Browns have had a revolving door at quarterback for decades, and star defensive end Myles Garrett knows it. After committing to the franchise with a massive $40 million-per-year deal, Garrett made it clear that Cleveland’s success hinges on finding stability under centre. But with no clear solution in sight, Garrett isn’t sugarcoating the challenge ahead.

Speaking with the Browns Radio Network, he acknowledged the reality of the situation, emphasizing that the team will have to be patient with whoever takes the reins. Whether it’s a young rookie or a veteran trying to reboot his career, Garrett believes the Browns must rally around their quarterback to make things work.
Myles Garrett calls for patience as the Cleveland Browns searches for stability
Cleveland’s quarterback situation remains murky. The Browns missed out on Russell Wilson in free agency and aren’t expected to land Miami’s Cam Ward in the upcoming NFL Draft. That means, as of now, Kenny Pickett is the man set to start under centre—a reality that isn’t exactly inspiring confidence among fans.
“Any team that’s going to go far needs a quarterback and one that’s young, can learn, and is willing to be patient with the process,” Garrett said. “There’s going to be some bumps in the road.”
Garrett isn’t just standing by and hoping for the best. He wants to do his part to make the transition as smooth as possible.
“It’s going to be some learning pains,” Garrett said. “But us as a team has to be able to be a landing pad for him and, knowing being on the defensive side, help him out whenever things go wrong.”
Garrett made it clear that even a veteran QB wouldn’t be immune to the struggles that come with playing in Cleveland. The Browns’ offence has been a revolving door for years, and no matter who steps in, there’s always an adjustment period. That’s why, in his eyes, the entire team has to step up—not just to support the quarterback, but to make sure this season doesn’t turn into another lost cause.
