NFL Head Coach Officially Fired Following 7th Straight Loss on Sunday

As the NFL season progresses into the winter months, several teams have reached a boiling point, prompting them to make crucial decisions for the future as Week 10 approaches.

Following a series of disappointing losses on Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders parted ways with three offensive coordinators, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported that the New Orleans Saints have officially fired head coach Dennis Allen after suffering their seventh consecutive loss.

Starting the season 2-0, the Saints now find themselves tied for last place in the NFC South, and Allen’s tenure has been marked by a lack of success. In six seasons as a head coach-two of which were with the Saints-Allen has recorded only one winning season.

While he previously found success as New Orleans’ defensive coordinator under Sean Payton, his head coaching record does not inspire confidence.

With the Saints now at 2-7, it became evident that a change was necessary. The organization may need to consider a full rebuild, as the team is grappling with significant issues and limited financial flexibility.

There is speculation that the Saints will become sellers ahead of the trade deadline on Tuesday at 4 p.m. EST, aiming to offload some talent from their roster to acquire assets and create more financial room.

Allen’s tenure concluded with a record of 18-25, and after an optimistic start to the season, the team’s nightmare October ultimately led the front office to end the Dennis Allen experiment.
