Ngannou Calls Dana White A ‘Bully’

Francis Ngannou has called Dana White a bully as the pair continue to trade verbals on social media.

Ngannou does not have the best relationship with the UFC and White after leaving the organization last year. Reports indicated he rejected an $8 million contract offer to continue his stay. This was allegedly on the basis that his independent rights as a contractor would have suffered. White had been very negative towards his departure, stating that he would never work with Ngannou again. That reduces any hopes of fans seeing a fight with Jon Jones, the current UFC Heavyweight Champion. They exchanged words on two central issues: the amount of money Ngannou has made since his UFC departure and the reasons why a Jon Jones fight never happened.

Ngannou reportedly made $30 million since leaving the PFL for just two boxing fights against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. It is believed that Ngannou earned a reported $10 million for the Fury fight, while he secured $20 million for the Joshua fight. That is without his earnings from the Renan Ferreira win. Despite losing both fights, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion reportedly earned more than his entire UFC career earnings.

White On Ngannou

However, White has disputed those numbers. He cast doubt on the accuracy of those figures and stated that Ngannou would have earned more had he stayed in the UFC. This would have depended on whether he would have beaten Jon Jones. However, White has suggested that Ngannou never wanted that fight to take place.

“Francis is all about the money. Francis left because he knew if he fought Jon Jones and didn’t win, it would hurt his chances of making the money he wanted to make. But realistically his deal was bigger here. His deal was bigger here if he stayed in the UFC.

“I think I told this story a million times. They can deny it all they want. Why…would I lie? What do I care? It doesn’t matter to me one way or the other….I was going to cut Francis when he lost two in a row. I was going to cut him. Somebody around here begged me not to do it,” White said

Ngannou Responds

The Predator has countered that narrative by calling White a bully. He also shared a previous clip of White stating that it would be better for Jones to move to middleweight rather than move up to heavyweight to face Ngannou. Those comments by White were made when The Predator was still part of the UFC. Ngannou suggested that there is only a change in narrative now that he no longer fights with the UFC.

“If I’m Jon Jones and I’m at home watching this fight, I start moving to 185lbs. Listen, I could sit here all day and tell you, what ‘Show me the money means’. You can say you want to fight someone, but do you really want to?,” White
