Rotherham United’s trip to face Northampton Town at Sixfields Stadium on Saturday 11th October 2025 has been brought forward an hour to kick off at 2pm, to avoid a clash with a rugby fixture taking place in the area on the same day.
With just over a mile separating the Cobblers’ home with Northampton Saints rugby’s Cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens the amendment to kick off has been made to alleviate potential traffic issues, as fans attending both matches make their way to the respective fixtures.
Having entered discussions regarding how best to keep supporters safe and maximise the efficiency of their journey to and from the Sky Bet League One fixture, the two clubs have agreed to bring kick off forward one hour to 2pm.
For clarity, the Millers’ fixture at Sixfields Stadium will now take place as follows:
