Everyone knows Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks is one of the most celebrated and successful players in the NBA.
Most people assume it’s just a matter of time before Doncic wins MVP and possibly a championship too.
Speaking on his podcast, Patrick Beverley praised Doncic and said the Mavs star is going to break a lot of records, as long as he stays healthy.
He highlighted how Doncic is unlike any other player, difficult to guard, and on his way to making NBA history.

Doncic is six-foot-eight, which makes defending him really hard.
Most guards are too small to stop him, and a small forward guarding him only complicates offensive plans.
Doncic can create a number of headaches for his opponents.
He’s also incredibly skillful and has season after season of great success.
Last year, Doncic posted a league-high 33.9 points per game, along with 9.2 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game.
He was in the running for MVP, once again, and helped the Mavericks go all the way to the NBA Finals.
If he keeps shooting like this over the next few years, he probably will break some records and likely earn his first championship ring.
Beverley noted that Doncic will have to stay healthy to make that happen, which is a valid point.
He is a very physical player, which could lead to wear and tear, and there have been times when his conditioning has been criticized.
But Doncic was looking great last season from beginning to end and many people believe he can stay in good shape in the seasons ahead.
We’re not sure which records he could break but it’s definitely possible.
