Philadelphia 76ers Agree Deal with Former Golden State Warriors Guard

No matter how this season turns out, no Philadelphia 76ers fan can say that the organization did not try to compete for the Championship. They have been relentless in trying to strengthen the squad.

They made additions like Paul George, Caleb Martin, Andre Drummond and many others over the summer.

The Sixers also showed that they were open to adjust to the situation. When Guerschon Yabusele ended up having a standout Olympic campaign with France, they signed him from Real Madrid despite his past struggles with the Boston Celtics in his first spell in the NBA.

Now, not long before the start of training camp, the 76ers have made another addition.

According to NBC Sports Philadelphia, Lester Quinones has agreed to a two-way contract with the 76ers. To create the two-way slot needed to sign him, the Sixers are waiving David Jones.

Quinones went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft but ended up spending the last two seasons with the Golden State Warriors.

In the 22-23 campaign, Quinones played just four times but saw his role increase last season. He played in 37 games for the Warriors, averaging 10.7 minutes, 4.4 points, 1.0 assists and 1.9 rebounds.

Other than his time as a role player with the Warriors, Quinones has impressed in the G League as well.

On the right team, Quinones can be a decent role player. Of course, he is not going to shake things up drastically for the 76ers. There is a reason he is on a two-way contract. Jeff Dowtin Jr. and Justin Edwards have similar deals with the Sixers.
