The two teams that met in last season’s National League Championship Series will open a four-game series at Chase Field in Phoenix on Thursday night.
The Philadelphia Phillies (68-46, first in the NL East) will play the Arizona Diamondbacks (63-52, second in the NL West) in a game that starts at 9:40 p.m. EDT.

Kolby Allard (0-0, 4.50 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, five strikeouts) will pitch for the Phillies and Jordan Montgomery (7-5, 6.37 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, 51 strikeouts) will get the start for the Diamondback.
Montgomery went six innings and got the win against the Phillies on June 21.
Philadelphia won two of the three games they played in June at Citizens Bank Park, losing the opener 5-4 and then winning 12-1 and 4-1.
But that won’t make the Phillies forget their postseason encounter with the Diamondbacks last season, winning three of the first four games before losing the final three, including two at home.
The Phillies are 30-25 in road games and 3-3 so far on this trip, winning a game in Seattle and two against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Kyle Schwarber had three home runs and drove in seven runs in Wednesday’s 9-4 victory at Dodger Stadium.
The seven RBI were the most by a Phillies player since Carlos Ruiz had that many against Atlanta in 2012.
