Phoenix Suns’ preseason schedule revealed

Here we go. With less than a day until the NBA releases its full schedule, we’re learning more and more about what the 2024-25 roadmap for the Phoenix Suns will look like. We know the Christmas Day game. We know Opening Night. We know the Emerites NBA Cup games.

And now we know the preseason matchups, dates, and times.

October 6 may feel like it’s still a distant date, but it’s only 53 days away. In less than two months, the boys in purple and orange will be back on the court, and we’ll once again be swept up in the excitement of basketball season.

The team will open things up on the road against the Los Angeles Lakers, a team that certainly hurt Phoenix a season ago. Despite being a team that finished as the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 47-35 record, the Lakers went 3-2 against the Suns. This included eliminating Phoenix in the In-Season Tournament.

Phoenix will make its first appearance at the Footprint Center against the Monty Williams-less Detroit Pistons on October 11. Last season, Detroit struggled mightily, finishing with the NBA’s worst record at 14-68, only to land the 5th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. With that pick, they chose 6’8” forward Ron Holland II, who spent last season with the G League Ignite.

It’s the Denver Nuggets on the road on October 13 and a 6:00pm home game against the Lakers to finish their preseason schedule on October 17. Hey! That’s my birthday! Safe to say I will not be covering that one or doing a post game podcast. Or will I?

The Lakers’ last chance to avoid disaster in 2010 needs a deep rewind

It might not be the most exciting thing to see a preseason schedule. Cool. Games that don’t count. But it’s a significant step closer to the regular season, one brimming with promise and tinged with nervous excitement. As the anticipation builds, the potential of this upcoming season ignites a sense of hope and eagerness among fans and players alike, setting the stage for what could be a transformative year for the Phoenix Suns.
