Raiders cut ties with massive former Pittsburgh Steelers tight end

The Las Vegas Raiders have cut ties with former Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Zach Gentry in their moves to get down to a 53-man roster. Gentry, as a vested veteran, is now a free agent and can sign with any team.

The Steelers’ fifth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the team moved on from Gentry last season, giving way to Rodney Williams to make the team. Gentry, meanwhile, did not return to the Steelers and signed with their rival Cincinnati Bengals, joining their practice squad. Later on, he would jump to the Raiders, who signed him to a reserve/future contract following the season. However, he was unable to crack the roster.
