Everton’s start to the 2024/25 campaign has not been the one any fans would have been hoping for with three straight defeats.
The manner of the defeats have also been of huge disappointment with the Blues having been left embarrassed in all three of their games.
And this comes after what was a fairly proactive summer in the transfer window for Everton with Sean Dyche handed a number of new faces to work with.
However, the Toffees now sit rock bottom of the Premier League table and with a lot of improvements to be made over the coming weeks.
But there has been some positive off-field news to come out of Goodison Park this week with Richard Kenyon having been left delight.
At a time when Everton are only 12 months on from breaching PSR rules, every penny of revenue generated can go a long way.
So big, off-field deals can often play a big part in a club’s ability to spend and Everton have just secured themselves a potentially lucrative one.
On Friday, the club announced they had struck an agreement with Red Bull for the worldwide brand to become their official energy drink supplier.
It is a deal which will provide the Blues with some extra income ahead of their move to their new stadium over the coming year.
And Everton’s Chief Commercial and Communications Officer Richard Kenyon has shared his delight at the news.
“We are excited to welcome Red Bull into our partnership portfolio and are really pleased that such a globally renowned and innovative brand has chosen to partner with Everton,” he told the club website.
“By committing to a long-term partnership, we have the opportunity to work together to explore exciting initiatives and activations, particularly from when we move into our new stadium next summer.
“This agreement is the latest the Club has secured in recent months and is testament to the dedication and talent within our Partnerships team. I’d like to thank everyone at Everton, and at Red Bull, who has been involved in getting this long-term deal completed ahead of what will be a historic period for the Club.”
Everton set for increased revenue at new stadium
Clubs like Tottenham Hotspur are a great example of a side benefitting from their move into a much bigger and modern stadium.
The experience of attending an up-to-date stadium like what Bramley-Moore Dock is going to be should transform Everton’s revenue streams.
With fans expected to spend more time inside the stadium before and after games the money going into the club’s tills should be on the rise.
And with big deals like this one, Everton’s ability to use their funds to strengthen the squad should also be seen over the coming years.
Of course, this is reliant on the club remaining in the Premier League ahead of their move to the dock.
