Sacramento rookie Devin Carter will not play in Summer League

Sacramento Kings’ fans will have to wait a bit to see their first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Providence’s Devin Carter, suit up in royal purple.

According to FOX 40’s Sean Cunningham, Carter will not participate in Summer League due to a left shoulder strain.

Sactown Sports confirmed with Cunningham that Carter will miss the 2024 California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League tournaments.

As a 22-year-old versatile impact player, Devin Carter could have performed well in those opportunities, but the preseason will have to serve its purpose for the rookie.
