SEPT. 22 PACERS CATCH STRAY FROM SHAQ Although Shaquille O’Neal played for the Boston Celtics, you probably forgot unless you watch Inside the NBA, where they make fun of his short and less-than-stellar tenure with the team. O’Neal took quite the shot at his former team while also grazing the Indiana Pacers.
“We all know Boston had the easiest run ever to that championship,” O’Neal said on the OGs Show, co-hosted by Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller, former players of the Miami Heat.
During the Celtics’ 2024 championship run, Indiana failed to register a win in the Eastern Conference Finals. Although O’Neal didn’t outright diss Indiana, losing in a sweep didn’t help.
SEPT 22. PASCAL PACING TEAMMATES FOR DOUBTERS The Indiana Pacers are bringing back the same team responsible for an Eastern Conference Finals run. However, many outlets view the Pacers as a Play-In Tournament-worthy unit. Pascal Siakam, though, doesn’t want his teammates to succumb to such doubt.
“We’re not the sexy team; we always got something to prove. I don’t want to put a ceiling on anything that we can accomplish… People are not going to give you their props; you have to go and take it,” Siakam said.
Siakam took the bull by the horns regarding his leadership role for the 2024-25 season. As the Pacers’ lone NBA champion, Siakam’s leadership is imperative to their growth.
