Steve Kerr Makes Change To Starting Lineup For Gold Medal Game

It all comes down to Saturday at the Paris Olympics, as Team USA’s men’s basketball team will face off against France for the gold medal.

Obviously, the stakes are incredibly high for the Americans and they want a perfect performance.

Because of that, head coach Steve Kerr is making a big change.

According to Shams Charania, Kevin Durant will start versus France in the gold medal game at the Olympics.

Jrue Holiday is now expected to come off the bench.

Durant has once again been transcendent during the Olympics this year.

He is the all-time leading scorer for the Americans and has been doing outstanding work in Paris.

There were questions about his health right before the big games began but Durant recovered from his calf injury and was able to suit up with the rest of his team.

Fans are happy he did because he’s been a crucial part of their run to gold medal contention.

Now, Durant has to perform well just one more time.

Many people have counted out France against America and think Team USA could waltz to a victory.

But there is a lot of incredible talent on that team, including Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama.

The Americans were the favorites to win against Serbia the other day but that game ended up being incredibly close.

Thankfully, Durant was in rare form during that match and helped his team win.

Can he do it again on Saturday?

Kerr’s coaching has been critiqued by American fans but everyone will applaud this choice if Durant has another breakout game.
