Warriors Are Showing Interest In Former Grizzlies Forward

The Golden State Warriors haven’t been able to make as many moves as they would’ve wanted.

Mike Dunleavy Jr. reportedly tried to get Paul George and trade Andrew Wiggins, and neither happened.

Wiggins could still be on the move, though, as they’ve been tied with a move for Utah Jazz star Lauri Markkanen.

Even so, reports state that the Jazz are adamant about getting Brandin Podziemski in any potential trade, and that’s off the table at the moment.

Still, it seems like the Warriors could land a reinforcement pretty soon.

According to a report by Gonzaga insider Theo Lawson (Via NBA Central), the Warriors have shown an interest in Killian Tille, who’s been away from the game for 2-and-a-half years now.

Apparently, now that he’s back to full strength, several teams, including the Warriors and Sixers, have shown an interest in clearing up a roster spot for him.

While not the highest-profile name, Tillie has a perfect skill set for today’s NBA.

He’s a 6-foot-9 forward who can knock down shots from beyond the arc, and that’s tailor-made for Steve Kerr’s motion offense.

The Warriors desperately need a catalyst, and while Tillie might not be that, he could certainly push them in the right direction, provided he’s actually healed from his back injury.

Moreover, he could be the kind of cheap pickup that shouldn’t alter their books that much, as they’re trying to get under the luxury tax while keeping enough flexibility to potentially add Markkanen at some point.
