What’s The Latest About Jaire Alexander, Romeo Doubs With 2 Days to Go Before Tensed Lions Clash?

The Green Bay Packers will have to put everything they got against the Detroit Lions currently leading the league, 11-1. Question is, does the Wisconsin team got everything they need? Will Jaire Alexander and Romeo Doubs be able to play?

The availability of the duo is yet to be confirmed by the team but there is an encouraging news for both.

Doubs reportedly participated in team practices after missing the Thanksgiving win against the Miami Dolphis after being put in concussion protocol. The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman wrote:

“We only get to watch stretch on Fridays (that’s today for a Thursday game), but Jaire Alexander and Romeo Doubs are both partaking. So is Elgton Jenkins after missing yesterday. Edgerrin Cooper and Corey Ballentine still sidelined. Final injury report tomorrow, not today.”

Doubs will only be able to play once he gets a clearance from the club and from an individual neurological consultant.

What about Jaire Alexander?

Veteran Alexander is another player being watched for Packers’ clash with Lions due to his leadership.

His availability will partly depend on him according to coach Matt LaFleur.

“We’ll see,” LaFleur said when asked Alexander’s status.

“We’ll have some more conversations … I want to look at the practice tape and kind of see where we’re at, talk to our coaches, talk to Ja and kind of see where we’re at.”

Alexander has been dealing with a knee injury in the past two weeks, making him miss the games against the San Francisco 49ers and the Thanksgiving clash with the Miami Dolphins.

His absence wasn’t that much of a miss as the team won both games by double digits.
