Hukporti secures two-year deal with New York Knicks

The former Next Star has impressed in limited minutes for the Knicks this season
Former Melbourne United Next Star Ariel Hukporti has secured a new two-year contract with the New York Knicks.

This comes after the Togolese-German seven-footer was drafted with the final pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Hukporti has played close to 29 minutes across four games so far, tallying seven rebounds and four blocks.

With United, Hukporti established himself as the winningest Next Star in the programs history, as well as totalling more rebounds and blocks than any player to have come through the program.
The deal includes a team-option for the 2025-26 season.
