Browns injuries: TE already ruled out, 2 cornerbacks day-to-day

The 2-7 Cleveland Browns came out of their bye week mostly healthy but placed DT Mike Hall Jr. on injured reserve and ruled OT Jedrick Wills out before Week 11’s matchup with the New Orleans Saints.

The Browns left Week 11 with a 2-8 record and more injuries. OT Dawand Jones fractured his ankle, which HC Kevin Stefanski once again confirmed on Monday, while a number of other players were dinged up.

Monday, Stefanski informed the media that TE Geoff Swaim would miss Week 12’s game with a concussion suffered Sunday. The quickness of Swaim being ruled out could mean he will miss multiple games.

CBs Denzel Ward and Greg Newsome II are “day-to-day” with injuries as well.

Ward left the loss to the Saints multiple times and is dealing with ankle and rib issues while Newsome injured his shoulder in Week 11. Martin Emerson, Cameron Mitchell and Mike Ford Jr. are the only other cornerbacks on the active roster.

Stefanski also noted that Wills received treatment and could play on Thursday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers but the tackle would need to be able to practice in the shortened week.
