Suns Get Injury Updates on Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal for Wednesday Game vs. Knicks

The Phoenix Suns are preparing for their scheduled game at 10 p.m. ET in the Valley of the Sun on Wednesday night against Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks.

The Suns have hit a 1-5 skid since superstar forward Kevin Durant suffered a left calf strain during his team’s win over the Dallas Mavericks, adding to the sense of urgency to get him back soon.

On Tuesday, injury updates were released on Durant and three-time All-Star Bradley Beal heading into Wednesday’s tip-off against the Eastern Conference championship contenders from The Big Apple.

Both Beal and Durant were ruled out for the contest, with the addendum that Durant’s health status is due for re-evaluation later this week.

Meanwhile, Suns center Jusuf Nurkic is listed as questionable for the game with a left ankle sprain after sitting out Monday’s home loss to the Orlando Magic at Footprint Center.

The Suns have fallen from first to sixth place in jam-packed Western Conference since Durant’s injury and are running out of time to right the ship.

Coach Mike Budenholzer’s team has marquee matchups with the Lakers, Warriors, and Spurs on tap before the schedule lightens up a bit in the lead-up to back-to-back games against Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets on December 23 and 25.
