Bruins Coach Provides Update On David Pastrnak Injury

The Boston Bruins picked up an impressive 4-1 win over the Washington Capitals last night. While it was a great night at TD Garden, it was not perfect.

Bruins superstar David Pastrnak left the Bruins’ contest with 8:38 left in the second period due to injury. This is after he had 9:00 of ice time and one shot on goal.

Following the game, Bruins head coach Joe Sacco provided a small update about Pastrnak:

“He left the game with an upper-body injury. I’ll get more details on it either later tonight or tomorrow.”

The Bruins are naturally hoping that Pastrnak’s injury is not too severe. He is their best player, and their offense would suffer immensely if he had to miss time.

The holiday break is here for the Bruins, so they will not play again until Dec. 27 against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Thus, there is some time for Pastrnak to rest before the Bruins’ next game, but we will need to wait and see the severity of his injury.

Pastrnak has 12 goals and a team-leading 35 points in 36 games this season for the Bruins.
