Southampton’s Tyler Dibling has been the subject of Premier League interest throughout the summer transfer window.
Everton appear to be in the driver’s seat when it comes to those attempting to sign the Southampton winger; however, Will Still has made his thoughts clear on the future of Dibling, believing he has a place in his squad should he stay.
Southampton rejected Everton’s second bid, and the Saints have offered the Premier League a ‘counter offer’ which they are said to be happy to accept once the terms are met.
The Saints will be hoping to bring an end to the saga soon, and it appears to be nearing the end, as Southampton have identified a Dibling replacement should he leave.
Southampton are chasing Leo Scienza
It has been reported by Patrick Berger on social media that Southampton have added Leo Scienza to their wish list.
The journalist who works with Sky Sports in Germany has said that Southampton have made initial contact with his current Bundesliga club, Heidenheim.
The Brazilian winger would be available for a single-digit million fee, meaning he would be a cheap option for the Saints, demonstrating a huge profit from the sale of Dibling, should it happen.
🚨🔴⚪️ EXCL. FC Southampton have added Leo Scienza (26/🇧🇷) to their shortlist after initial contact. German bosses Johannes Spors and Tim Lederer know the Heidenheim playoff hero well from the Bundesliga.

Scienza was the hero for Heidenheim last season, as he scored the winning goal in stoppage time to secure the club’s place in the Bundesliga for another season, as they beat Elversberg in the relegation play-off.
While that was his most memorable moment of the season, the player was consistent throughout the campaign, as he scored six and assisted eight across 37 appearances for Heidenheim.
Interest from Bundesliga clubs in Leo Scienza
Southampton are not the only club interested in the Brazilian winger, as he has demonstrated he is capable of playing at the highest level in one of the top leagues in Europe.
Scienza has been the subject of interest from both Borussia Mönchengladbach and 1.FC Köln, after the winger impressed in his first season at Heidenheim, according to Sport Bild.
It is thought Köln have shown more interest in the player, due to their desire to remain in the Bundesliga this season, with the club believing Scienza can bring the qualities needed to help them achieve that on and off the pitch, like he did with Heidenheim.
There is a belief that both sides are prepared to offer €3 million for the player; however, Heidenheim value him at double that price.
That fee is just over £5 million, which Southampton can afford to match should they enquire about a deal, particularly should Everton match their ‘counter offer’ for Dibling.
Who is Leo Scienza?
The 26-year-old Brazilian winger is currently contracted to Bundesliga club Heidenheim, having joined them last summer from SSV Ulm.

Scienza unsurprisingly began his career in Brazil with Lajeadense before moving to Schalke in Germany, where he would be part of their youth set up.
He would fail to establish himself at Schalke, opting to move onto 1. FC Magdeburg, and from here he would work his way through the lower divisions of Germany before making his eventual move to Heidenheim last season.
Scienza has worked hard to reach this position in his career, and this is a trait Southampton and Will Still would value highly.
