Former Everton attacker Alex Iwobi maintains he enjoyed working with Frank Lampard amid ongoing links with the vacant Fulham hotseat.
The Whites are looking for a new manager for the first time in more than five years after Marco Silva left to take over at Benfica.
Ex-Real Madrid coach Alvaro Arbeloa is the favourite to succeed the Portuguese but talkSPORT say Lampard is ‘also admired’ by the Londoners.
Iwobi, who has been at Craven Cottage since leaving the Toffees in 2023, worked for a year with Coventry City boss Lampard at Goodison Park and was asked about the ongoing uncertainty and his time with the 48-year-old.
“I can only go off my experience with the national team and at Everton. I’ve had several managers there, so it won’t be difficult for me to adapt. We’ll be ready to play whoever the manager is,” he told talkSPORT.
“Of course, I’ve worked with Frank Lampard before and he’s someone I really enjoyed working with.
“But I don’t really mind as long as the manager that comes in wants to help better the club and so do the players.
“So whoever the manager is, we’re ready to work with them.”

Iwobi also revealed the Fulham players are discussing the situation in group chats: “Obviously when we got told that Marco was leaving, I was active. Thinking, ‘Oh no, who are we going to get in next?’
“But ever since then, it’s been pretty quiet. But I’m sure people are waiting for the message to say, ‘This is who we’re going to get.’
“But no-one has said anything yet, but we’re just patiently waiting.”
Talk of Lampard leaving the Sky Blues have receded recently, particularly since the news he is close to agreeing a new contract to stay at the CBS Arena. He had also been linked with the vacancy at Crystal Palace after Oliver Glasner’s departure but they have since appointed ex-Lyon boss Pierre Sage.
