‘Nice boy’ – Fulham coach hails Chukwueze, insists there’s no rush on permanent transfer

Fulham manager Marco Silva has indicated that the Cottagers remain open to making Samuel Chukwueze’s loan move from AC Milan permanent, following his encouraging performances in the Premier League.

Chukwueze has been excellent since arriving at Craven Cottage in the summer, scoring three goals and providing four assists in ten league appearances.

Responding to questions about his future, Silva expressed satisfaction with his performance, stressing that the club will decide at the appropriate time.

“There’s time, we are very pleased with him. He’s been able to show quality. He’s a great lad, a nice boy,” Silva was quoted as saying by The BBC during his press conference ahead of the game against Manchester United.

“He’s adapting for what we need. We are going to have time to do it.”

Samuel Chukwueze has rediscovered his best form in England after enduring two difficult seasons at the San Siro, where he struggled to live up to the expectations that followed his move from Villarreal.

The Nigerian international, who scored against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend, will be eager to sustain his impressive run when the Cottagers travel to Old Trafford on Sunday.

Chukwueze, who will be aiming to maintain his upward trajectory in the remainder of the season, is a doubt for the clash following the death of his mother in midweek.
